Renee Skube, Medical Aesthetician
Responsibilities at Adonis Cosmetic Surgery & Spa:
I have been the receptionist and assistant for Dr. Shinn since April 20, 2015. I have greatly enjoyed getting to know all our amazing patients as well as watching and learning everything Dr. Shinn has to offer here.
I am extremely excited to branch off and utilize my skills as a Medical Aesthetician. Dr. Shinn has taken a lot of time to train me so I can be just as great as she is. I have been treating patients on our newest procedure, UltraShape, since September and am thrilled to be treating our patients with Exilis, Smooth Shapes, Laser Hair Removal, Photofacials, Vi Peels, Microdermabrasion with Infusion, and Laser Resurfacing. I hope to further my education here at Adonis and continue to expand and grow.
Favorite skin care tip/wellness tip:
All of Dr. Shinn’s patients should already know the phrase “water, water, water.” Therefore, my favorite tip to anyone, patients, friends, and family is “WATER!”
Dr. Shinn has taught me a lot but I’d say that hydrating has been one of the biggest life-changing lessons. It sounds silly but it’s amazing how many people, and I was one of them, walk around dehydrated and think two glasses of water a day was plenty. Dr. Shinn took the time to educate me on the importance of water, during my first weight loss appointment, as she does with each patient. I have lost 40 pounds since starting her program on July 20, 2015.
Hydration has not only helped me shed weight but I feel better, my skin glows, my hair is healthier, and all around I feel healthier. I have received nothing but compliments since listening to Dr. Shinn and taking her advice. So my tip to everyone I know is to drink a gallon of water a day.

What do you like to do in your free time?
I love to spend as much time with my son as I can going to the park, play dates, swimming, going to the museum, and best of all snuggling up to a movie. I also enjoy going to the movies with friends, having dinner and drinks, or even cleaning the house, if you can believe it or not.
Where did you grow up?
I was born and raised in Pueblo.
Favorite Starbucks drink?
Does anyone have just one favorite? Venti iced caramel Macchiato, if I had to choose.
I love listening to John Jay and Rich in the morning on 99.9. The car is the only place I can listen to music of my choice, unless my son is in the car then he is the boss.
What is your favorite item in your house?
As a mom, the answer is my bed.
What do you want to say to your future patients?
I am eager to meet you as well as to make you feel and look amazing.
