I’m 60 and I’m also a senior at a local university. Being around young people made me more aware of the fact that I was sagging around my neck area, more than I wanted. The body-jet newer liposcution method I had done recently was really non-evasive and state of the art. Dr. Shinn's entire procedure from the first office visit to after surgery made me feel very comfortable. She and her staff listen, answer all questions, don't hurry you through anything and call periodically to check on how you are doing. Her newer technique is such that I had little bruising or trauma at all compared to other body plastic surgeries in the past. I am so thankful to have met Dr. Shinn! She started me on the DR. TED diet with HCG and it was the most successful program I have ever been on. I lost over 30 lbs in 6 weeks. I never felt hungry on the diet, I had so much increased energy (I cleaned my bathroom with a toothbrush), and of course dropped 6...YES SIX pant sizes! I am a 43 year old female who had smile and sleep creases on either side of my mouth as well as a definitive crease or fold between my eyebrows. Every time I looked in the mirror, my eyes immediately saw those lines. These lines bothered me enough that I finally started researching how I could diminish their appearance.

I knew that I didn't want to have surgery, the lines weren't that bad, not to mention the cost involved. I also knew that I preferred to have a medical professional involved in my solution. I saw a printed ad in the newspaper about Dr. Shinn's practice and scheduled a consultation.

We've all heard and seen the results of movie stars and their Botox nightmare photos. I was very sure that I did NOT want to be injected with Botox. Just the thought of it scared me. I received information about the Radiesse filler that stimulates my own body's collagen and decided to take the plunge. I scheduled my appointment and had the procedure done with the addition of a small amount of Botox (never say never).

The Botox was recommended based upon the fact that some creases are formed due to muscle contractions that do not relax. It made sense to relax the muscles and receive the filler injection as they work together to enhance the effect of smoothing creases and wrinkles. I have complete facial expressions and don't even notice a change except that the lines are gone.

I was able to have the injections without the need of Lidocaine (numbing injection) and the level of pain on a scale of 1 to 10, was no more than 1.5 - 2, completely tolerable. While I did have some bruising at the injection sites, they were mild and easily hidden by cosmetics.

I am thrilled with the results and would recommend Dr. Shinn and her practice without question.

Throughout my life I have had problem skin. However now as an adult, I have began to develop adult nodular acne. I have spent thousands of dollars on topical, oral, as well as medically assisted procedures, to end with the same result… nothing!
