It’s Christmas week. Anyone have a migraine from the stress?

Dr. Shinn - Since my husband is German, we have a very European way of decorating the tree, using fruit. Another German celebration we do is to buy fireworks on the 4th of July and save them for New Year’s Eve. Our kids get to stay up as late as they want on New Year’s Eve.

Lynette - Having Santa visit my mother’s home on Christmas Eve. He comes every year and reads the kids a story, spends time talking with them, and then gives each one a gift! It is a great tradition!

Dr. Shinn - Since I grew up in Korea, we didn’t celebrate Christmas.  However, I have lots of favorite Christmas memories in this country.  One of my favorites is when my daughter was a baby and saw the Christmas tree for the first time.  It was decorated with real apples and she was trying to pull them off.  My husband is German and decorating with fruit is a European tradition.

Deb - Getting up early on Christmas day (4am) to open presents and our big Christmas family dinner.

Corina - Sleeping by the Christmas tree with my brother and sister on Christmas Eve.

Lynette - Seeing the excitement on the kids’ faces when they open their present…it never changes even with the older they get!!

Diana - The year our whole family went to Cabo for Christmas.  Instead of a Christmas tree, we had a palm tree on the beach.  Our “traditional” Christmas brunch consisted of re-fried beans and enchiladas.

Kim Correll and Dr. Shinn have known each other for more than 2 years and are thrilled to be able to finally work together.

Kim works part-time at Adonis Aesthetics assisting Dr. Shinn during surgeries, administers injectables and runs the hair removal and Profractional Skin resurfacing lasers. When she not at Adonis, Kim is busy with her own business, Aesthetics by Design.

Kim likes to say that she “fell” into cosmetics – and she’s thrilled that she did. She has been a plastic surgery nurse and an injection specialist for more than 19 years. She is very knowledgeable in the aesthetic services field, having been involved from the time the services were first introduced, around 1995. She strives to be on the cutting edge and continues to learn new procedures as soon as they are made available.

For many years, Kim worked as an operating room nurse as part of a plastic surgery team, both reconstructive and cosmetic. She is sought-after as an educator and a speaker for many aesthetic treatments. Her education and experience allows her to provide patients with the safest and most effective treatments available.

Kim only uses natural and subtle cosmetic procedures to enhance rather than change the skin’s appearance. She conducts a skin-type analysis for each patient and works with them to create their own personalized skin care plan.

Kim is originally from Pennsylvania, but moved to Colorado with her children several years ago. Her family shares a passion for all things equestrian, including rodeo, overnight packing and trail riding. She and her husband purchased a homesteaded ranch in eastern Colorado where they raise cattle and breed mules.
