Adonis Diet Patient Loses 54 Pounds And Is Loving Life!

What difference in your life are you noticing with this weight loss? I’m more active, don’t tire as easily, and genuinely love life~!

What comments have people given you? You look great! How have you lost the weight?

How has the weight loss improved your professional life? I’m more effective and productive as a teacher and have more energy to expend with the kids!

What were your eating habits/situation like prior to the Adonis Diet? I grabbed food on the run, ate the wrong things, didn’t eat on a regular basis which led to overeating, ate too fast, and didn’t eat balanced meals.

What important behavioral changes have you learned and implemented thanks to the Adonis Diet?

  • Sit down and think about what you’re eating with no distractions.
  • Chew your food well.
  • Drink lots of water.
  • Always set your utensil down between bites.
  • Eat every 2-3 hours to maintain sugar levels.
  • Portion control.
  • Enjoy the food you eat.
  • Treat yourself once a week to something that is really good (if you want ice cream….go to Hop Scotch, if you want good chocolate…eat good chocolate..not the cheap stuff!)
  • Love yourself and don’t beat yourself up when you fall off the wagon. Get back on and do it better!

What was your experience with Adonis Diet like? It was a great experience. I’ve tried many diets and this one worked!

Was it difficult? No, but you have to be determined to be successful. Dr. Shinn and Elva (they are the best!) were very supportive, and all the people I worked with in the office were pleasant and positive.

What seemed to help? The encouragement I received was invaluable. The most important was that I actually felt that Dr. Shinn and Elva cared. I am a diabetic, and had a rocky start because my sugar levels dropped drastically. Dr. Shinn called me on her own many times to help me get through the initial problems. Elva always was encouraging and has called on several occasions to make sure I’m still doing okay. That extra mile makes all the difference in the world!

What other diets have you tried? Try all of them…Weight Watchers (which I did well with when it was more restricted, no carb diet, cabbage soup diet…you name it!!

Why did this one work? This one worked because it is a life change, not a quick fix for easy weight loss. You learn to not only eat correctly, but make behavioral changes.

How did you survive the holidays with your new eating habits? I’m not going to lie….it was rough. If I ate something, I always asked myself if it was something worth eating and did I really want it? I took small portions, took a couple of bites to appease the desire to eat whatever it was. If I did fall off the wagon….just got back on and didn’t beat myself up.
